Description
Summary:The article addresses four major developments in U.S. Evangelicalism of these last decades. First of all, the relationship of Evangelicals to the American nation is characterized by a renewed political engagement of Evangelicals and Fundamentalists, after the break of the first part of the 20th century – even though this engagement is not as unanimous as the news media let us think. Secondly, the worship wars are conflicts born of the liturgical developments generated by Charismatic influence and cultural changes. Thirdly, the Evangelical-Catholic dialogue is on the rise.
