Summary:There are a lot of cultic motifs and there is a specific cultic terminology within the Book of Daniel. These motifs and terminology intend to describe the present situation during the “abomination of desolation” under the rule of Antiochus IV Epiphanes and the vision of a renewed cult in the future. This article wants to present and explicate the conception of cult within the Book of Daniel.
Das Buch Daniel enthält zahlreiche kultische Motive und eine spezifische kultische Terminologie. Diese zielen darauf ab, die gegenwärtige Situation zur Zeit der der religiösen Notsituation unter Antiochus IV. Epiphanes zu beschreiben und einen Ausblick auf eine Kulterneuerung in der Zukunft zu geben. Der vorliegende Artikel möchte die Kultkonzeption des Danielbuches darstellen und explizieren.
