Resumo:In the Global South the problem of Word and World is much different, and often much more dangerous, from that of the situation in North America. This account of the sufferings of the church in Northern Nigeria is by Ibrahim Bitrus, the Nigerian Theologian in Residence at theMinneapolis Area Synod. He received a PhD in systematic theology from Luther Seminary, and prior to this, he was a lecturer at Bronnum Lutheran Seminary in Yola, Nigeria.
