While Frankl justifies this concept by the therapeutic goal of generating or increasing the patients willingness to suffer and by the medical service of a "last resort" for the patients assumption of the meaningfulness of his suffering and life, von Weizsäcker derives this postulate from his fundamental determination of the mind-body relationship, according to which physical diseases are an expression and representation of emotional distress and defects. | ||
