Description
Summary:Theologians are generally agreed that 'subordinationism' is a serious and dangerous theological error, a heresy. How this error should be defined is, however, not agreed. In this essay several definitions are outlined and examples of teaching that has been judged to involve subordinationism are given. One key question raised in this essay is, whether or not the contemporary evangelical 'complementarian' doctrine of the eternal role subordination of the Son is an example of this perennial error.
