Description
Résumé:On the path to a „church of the poor", ecclesial protagonists and institutions must come to terms with the biblically guided suspicion that they are the cause of the poverty of those affected, that their church thus has its „own" poor. They thus do not devote themselves to those affected by poverty first and foremost out of compassion; they are trying instead to extricate themselves from the wrong in which they have placed themselves before God and are attempting to place the poor in the right which is intended by God. They are being called by God to do this, but as a result they are not already mandated by those affected by poverty. Only when the poor acknowledge that the commitment of the church is in their interest and at their behest will the church become their church, a „church of the poor."
