Jr 50,33-40 is situated in the continuity of the traditions of the Asaph’s Psalms (Exodus), and the new Asaph tradition of the Psalms particularly psalms 105-106 (return from the exile). In this perspective (see particularly Ps 74, 4), this passage uses Isa 13,19-22 against Babylon.
