Headhunting, history, and exchange in upland Sulawesi

The author takes a look at a headhunting ritual among upland people living in an area of Sulawesi in Indonesia. He found no evidence that their ritual ever involved real headhunting expedition. The author concludes that the headhunting ritual reflects highland-lowland differences. (DÜI-Sen)
