Description
Summary:Information is given on Jordan and King Hussein, who in the minds of many is synonymous with Jordan. Nevertheless politics in Jordan are likely to continue its moderate course with or without King Hussein for the following reasons: 1. Crown Prince Hassan is an able and constitutional successor. 2. Through economic and social development and the growth of civil society and democratic institutions Jordan is able to retain its internal stability. 3. Jordan is committed to the Arab-Israeli peace process. The only "challenge if not threat" could be Jordan's "dangerous neighborhood". (DÜI-Mjr)
