Resumo:This article examines the way James Buchanan (1804–1870) utilized the theological concept of the ordo salutis in order to counter challenges of antinomianism and neonomianism to Reformed soteriology. It seeks to place Buchanan in his historical context, while analyzing how his work can serve as a guide to contemporary debates concerning Reformed soteriology.
