Summary: | Conceiving mission in relation to discipleship entails learning from the margins. This article analyzes the experience and self-understanding of pan-African women of faith. Especially in relation to and utilizing the methodology of the ongoing emphasis on an ecumenical pilgrimage of justice and peace, their vision of hope is examined under the headings of via positiva, via negativa, and via transformativa. The article concludes by detailing recent and future work of PAWEEN-the Pan African Womens Ecumenical Empowerment Network-in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations. |
