Descrição
Resumo:It has been suggested that the collapse of the Late Bronze Age trading networks severed connections between Cyprus and the Philistine cities of the southern Levant. However, the excavators of the Leon Levy Expedition to Ashkelon have uncovered two examples of vessels made in Cyprus and then imported to Philistia during the mid-12th century B.C. These vessels are characterized below, and the consequences of their discovery are briefly addressed.
