| Summary: | In October 1967, Josemaría Escrivá pronounced the homily Passionately Loving the World at the campus of the University of Navarra. At the same time, an interview with him was published in the Gaceta Universitaria magazine. This article analyzes the historical context of the homily and the interview, as well as the situation of the Spanish universities in the decade of 1960. It was an era of development for the University of Navarra, while, Spain was concurrently under a confessional dictatorship and the University became a catalyzer thanks to which the achievement of freedom was speeded up. En octubre de 1967, Josemaría Escrivá pronunció en el campus de la Universidad de Navarra la homilía Amar al mundo apasionadamente. Al mismo tiempo, se publicó una entrevista con él en la revista Gaceta Universitaria. En este artículo se analiza el contexto histórico de ambos textos y en especial la situación de la Universidad española en la década de 1960. Fue una época de expansión de la Universidad de Navarra, mientras en España, que vivía bajo un régimen político dictatorial y confesional, la Universidad actuaba como catalizador de las ansias de libertad cada vez más presentes en la sociedad. |
