Description
Summary:The second season of the Khirbat al-Mukhayyat Archaeological Project focused on excavations in two areas of the site: Field B to the south of the acropolis and Field C West located along the western edge of the site to the north of the acropolis. Six excavation units were opened in Field B and yielded more of the monumental structure exposed in 2014. Additionally, several intact Late Hellenistic cooking pots were recovered from this area. Field C West produced a stone-lined channel and several bedrock and plaster installations associated with the Late Hellenistic miqveh excavated in 2014.
