Elle soulèvera des antagonismes irréductibles entre les auteurs menant à la rupture totale de leur correspondance en mars 1932 après près de quarante ans d'échanges quotidiens. Cette déchirure intellectuelle et humaine est éclairée sous l'angle du réel comme voie sotériologique. Dans un souci commun de la métaphysique, Blondel et Laberthonnière associent la question du réel à celle du salut, mais ils ne déclinent pas de la même manière les conditions de divinisation de l'homme à partir d'une « ontologie concrète » ou d'une « métaphysique de la charité ». The exchange of letters between Maurice Blondel and Lucien Laberthonnière is the locus of a heated debate on the destiny of being. It was to solicit irreducible antagonisms between the actors involved that led to them totally breaking off their correspondence in 1932 after nearly forty years of daily exchanges. This intellectual and human wrench is analysed from the angle of the real as a soteriological path. In their common concern with metaphysics, Blondel and Laberthonnière associate the question of the real with that of salvation, but they do not state in the same way the conditions of divinization of man on the basis of a concrete ontology or a metaphysics of charity. |
