Summary:In this article, I outline an argument that the many models of youth ministry on offer are helpful guides but rarely implemented well in a local situation because of a number of factors that interfere with their translocation. Models Of youth ministry multiply like rabbits out of a hat! Youth workers can become confused and overwhelmed by the variety. In this article, I do not propose a new model, but offer a method (a game!) to enable youth work students and those in youth ministry to reflect critically on and to analyze the models they use so that more effective application may occur. An approach that suited to the complex reality in which we minister. My reflections are based on experiences of playing the game at the IASYM conference in London (Jan 2005). These illustrate the premise and promise of the game for analysing models of youth ministry.
