Summary: | In this article I examine witness to institutions through a sociological, theological, and missiological treatment of power. I show how witness to institutions has been problematic through the centuries due to a historical and cultural factors along with a paucity of theological resources whereby to engage power. Ultimately I make the argument that Christians witness to institutions through a christological understanding of power, and ultimately through the institutional nature of the church. |
