Resumo: | One of the features of the Fourth Gospel is the presentation of a series of representative figures to illustrate a range of faith responses to Jesus. In John 20, we follow four key characters (Mary Magdalene, Peter, the ‘Beloved Disciple’ and Thomas) in the immediate post-Resurrection period. This essay explores the narrative techniques used in the portrayal of each character and considers how these model disciples can serve as inspiration and encouragement for all those who travel on the path to faith in the risen Jesus. |
