Die jehowistische Redaktion fügte in der Zeit des Exils den Dekalog mit dem zweiten und dritten Gebot ein. Diese Darstellung benutzte der Verfasser von Dtn 5,1 ff.* Erst die Pentateuchredaktion fügte das Bundesbuch ein und bildete als seinen Rahmen 19,3b–8 und 24,3–8*. Der Dekalog war also bereits vor dem Bundesbuch Bestandteil der Sinaiperikope. Ex 19:2–24:8* contains a Yahwistic and an Elohistic narrative of a theophany, both without lawgiving. The goal of the Yahwistic version were the sacrifices in 24:4aβ,5*, whereas the goal of the Elohistic version was the test of the people and the fear of God in 20:20. The Jehowistic redaction added the Decalogue with the second and the third commandment during the time of the exile. This account was used by the author of Dtn 5:1 ff.* Later, the redaction of the Pentateuch inserted the Book of the Covenant and created 19:3b–8 and 24:3–8 as a frame. Thus, the Decalogue was part of the Sinai-Narrative before the Book of the Covenant. Ex 19:2–24:8* est composé de deux récits de théophanie, yahwiste et élohiste, aucun d’eux ne contenant de loi. Le récit de J se concentre sur l’offrande des Israélites (24:4aβ,5*), alors que E décrit la mise à l’épreuve du peuple et la crainte de Dieu (20:20). Durant l’exil, la rédaction yehowiste ajouta le Décalogue avec les deuxième et troisième commandements. Cette édition a été utilisée par l’auteur de Dt 5:1ss.* Ce n’est que la rédaction du Pentateuque qui a inséré le livre de l’alliance en créant 19:3b–8 et 24:3–8 comme cadre.
