| Summary: | Das Harry-Potter-Phänomen ist hybrid, da es einen neuartigen Imaginations- und Handlungsraum über nationale Gesellschaften hinweg erschafft. Seine Wirksamkeit wird hier damit erklärt, dass es 1. als Literatur das kollektive Imaginäre beliefert; 2. im Motiv des bedrohten Retterkindes Heilshandeln verkörpert und ein Modell anbietet, Hybridität zu bewältigen; 3. als Publikumskult und Jugendszene niederschwellige Vergemeinschaftung mit entspannenden kollektiven Ritualen bietet; 4. die mediale »Intensität« religiöser (christlicher wie esoterischer) Elemente in der Weltsicht des Rezipienten erhöht. The Harry Potter phenomenon is hybrid because it creates a new imagery and actions above national societies. This effect is here explained as follows: 1. as literature it provides a collective imagery, 2. in the motif of the endangered saviour child it embodies salvation action and offers a model of coping with hybridity, 3. as an object of audience cult and youth culture it offers an open-door opportunity for communion with relaxing collective rituals, and 4. it increases the medial »intensity« of religious (Christian as well as esoteric) elements in the worldview of the recipient. |
