Summary:Already in the early Twenties Muslims came over to Germany where especially in Berlin a centre of Islamic life being a source of cultural innovations was fashioned. From the activities of the numerous founded Islamic societies the construction of cultural nearness or distance and the dissolution of cultural patterns shall be shown. Moreover, it is attempted to outline continously the way of these unions from the Weimarer Republik to the Nazi-dictatorship. For this on the one hand some of the periodicals published a great many by the Muslims at the time, and on the other hand records of the Landesarchiv Berlin and the Brandenburgisches Landeshauptarchiv Potsdam are utilized.
