Description
Summary:In contrast to the idealized fiction of the »Volksgemeinschaft« the german society in the 30s was in great disharmony because of permanent conflicts between concurring powergroups. The german people had a critical attitude against the economic and political sphere. Nevertheless it existed a general consens concerning the religious attitudes. This refers to the attempt of a mytholocigal interpretation and legitimation of the real social circumstances. In this context we can ascertain the development of an imagination, which assigns Adolf Hitler the idealized function as a saviour. This projection of wishes and hopes to Adolf Hitler is responsible for Hitler's power of fascination and integration to the german people during and before the period of fascism.
