Description
Summary:The article traces back the modern history of the Maghrib focusing on a dialectic between a logic of adjustment promoted by the state and a logic of resistance promoted by religious movements. The article shows that until the 1970s a relative stable balance existed between the state (adjustment) and religion (resistance). However this changed in the 1970s when religious movements arose that were not any longer grounded on traditional theological but on ideological beliefs. (DÜI-Mjr)
