Description
Summary:This article explores the extent of consensus between the churches, as expressed mainly in the multilateral texts of the World Council of Churches, with regard to the nature of the Christian Church and its unity. Twelve major points of agreement are identified, but an issue with regard to their reception is also flagged up. The churches and the ecumenical instruments are urged to reflect upon and to act on this remarkable convergence.
