Ao invés de celebrar rapidamente a inclusão de eunucos, o artigo interpreta a perícope em sua prescrição retórica e, assim, capta a resposta de ‘eunucos’ e ‘filhos do estrangeiro’ ao ethos de subordinação e normatização inscrito no texto. Neste contexto, a ‘casa de oração para todos os povos’ oferece um espaço democrático de lutas que não abriga uma simples identidade fixa na busca por inclusão. Antes, esse espaço utópico possibilita o cruzamento de fronteiras sexuais e étnicas/raciais em seu interior, ao visar a uma retórica radical de transformação. | ||

By emphasizing only the marginalizedsexuality they fail to assess the complexity of the relations of domination in biblical texts. We can evaluate the limits of such identity approaches in the study of Isaiah 56,1-8. Rather than quickly celebrate the inclusion of eunuchs, the article interprets the pericope in its rhetoric prescription and thus captures the response of „eunuchs‟ and „sons of the foreigner‟ to the ethos of subordination and normatization inscribed in the text. Inthis context, „the house of prayer for all peoples‟provides a democratic space for strugglesthat doesn‟t refugea single fixed identity in search ofinclusion. Unlike, in a radical rhetoric of transformation, this utopian space enablesthe crossing of sexual and ethnic/racial borderlands. | ||
