The testings, death and burial, thigh oath, and long journeys in Genesis 22-24, involving the closely bound Abraham and Eliezer, with supplementation from sore-covered Job who experienced sequential reversals between rich to poor, converge as the base literary template for Luke's Abraham and Lazarus.
