Summary:When Oneness Pentecostals branched off in the 1910s, they began to create a version of Pentecostalism that was marked by a theology that rejected Trinitarianism, or the concept of a triune Godhead, and assumed a different trajectory over the past century. This new wave of Pentecostalism was marked by debates over further doctrinal issues, racial boundaries, and gender roles. This article provides a historical overview of the themes emerging from and approaches taken in the writings on Oneness Pentecostalism in the United States.
