Diese Entwicklungen stellen auch die öffentliche Organisation sozialer Wohlfahrt vor Herausforderungen, eröffnen aber auch neue Möglichkeiten. Im Besonderen gilt das für konfessionelle Wohlfahrtsverbände wie Diakonie und Caritas, die sich auf ein christliches Wertefundament berufen, das nunmehr mit den Realitäten moderner Einwanderungsgesellschaften und den Tendenzen wohlfahrtsstaatlichen Wandels in Einklang gebracht werden muss. Prof. Dr. Traugott Jähnichen lehrt Christliche Gesellschaftslehre an der Universität Bochum; Prof. Dr. Alexander-Kenneth Nagel lehrt Religionswissenschaft mit dem Schwerpunkt sozialwissenschaftliche Religionsforschung an der Universität Göttingen; Prof. Dr. Katrin Schneiders lehrt Wissenschaft der Sozialen Arbeit mit Schwerpunkt Sozialwirtschaft an der Hochschule Koblenz. | ||
