Glass axes of the Kassite period from Nippur
A study of glass axes made of blue glass (using cobalt from a non-Egyptian source) found at Nippur. The axes bear dedications of Kassite kings in the period 1332–1225 B.C. They have no known parallels and are the earliest examples of Mesopotamian glass.
