AB The article ist about the search for unity. What kind of unity do we need? Does the true unity only exist in the Roman-Catholic Church? Are the other churches only different ways on the same level? Should we aim at a church beyond from all confessions? The article is about a new conception of unity, called „differend unity“, based on a trinitarian conception of god. The declaration of „Dominus Iesus“ (30th Juni 2000) calls for an interpretation of the essence of church and ministry. It is necessary to discuss the conditions for recognizing each other as sister-churches.
