| Zusammenfassung: | A new tendency of Finnish Lutherforschung, inaugurated by Tuomo Mannermaa, tries to elaborate convergencies between Luther's theology of justification by faith and the eastern-orthodox view of deification of man. This work should be esteemed a highly remarkable approach to resolve some difficult ecumenical problems among the lutheran, roman-catholic and orthodox churches. If henceforth, in addition, the respective role of the church in justification and deification will more intensely be taken in consideration, this approach could lead to fruitful new perspectives in the thorny questions around ecclesiology and theology of the ministry. |
