Johannes charakterisiert die Gegenwart seiner Adressatengemeinden als "Situation des Widerspruchs", in der die Christen, indem sie das "Zeugnis Jesu" ablegen, einerseits schon im Heil stehen, andererseits noch verfolgt werden. Auf der Grundlage dieser These leistet die Arbeit einen neuen Beitrag zur komplexen Verhältnisbestimmung von präsentischer und futurischer Eschatologie. 2. Inzwischen hat sich die Erkenntnis durchgesetzt, daß die gesamte Offenbarung des Johannes als Brief anzusehen ist. Es steht aber noch der Nachweis aus, inwiefern die gesamte Offenbarung auch als prophetische Botschaft gelesen werden kann. Hier setzt die vorliegende Untersuchung ein. | ||
