AB Saint Paul forged the triad of spirit, soul and body, in that order, in 1 Thess 5:23 when he wrote in his dismissal of the Thessalonians: "May the God of peace sanctify you completely, so that your whole spirit, soul and body may be kept blameless until the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." This framework was largely shared and cultivated by Chruch Fathers such as Irenaeu (+200), Origen (+ 253), Ahanasius (+373) and Augustine (+430). At Nicaea, the humanity of God in Jesus Christ is emphasized, the Fahter and the Son Being of the same substance, homousious tou patrí. Athanasius confirm this in his statement that "God became human so that human beings might become God." We see the importance of affirming this complete humanity in Jesus Christ,which does not diminish his divininty, but rather enhances its power. Likewise, his humanity will be that which the human person hopes to achive, since he has been created in the image and likeness of the Word (Gen 1:26;2:7).
AB San Pablo fraguó la tríada espíritu, alma y cuerpo, por este orden, en 1Tes 5,23 escribía en su despedida de los de Tesalónica diciendo: "Que el Dios de la paz os santifique totalmente, para que todo vuestro ser, el espíritu, el alma y el cuerpo, se mantenga irreprochable para la parusía de nuestro Señor Jesucristo." Mayormente, este esquema fue compartido y cultivado por los padres de la Iglesia como Ireneo (+200), Orígenes (+253), Atanasio (+373) and Agustín (+430). En Nicea, se apuesta por la humanidad de Dios en Jesucristo, de la misma sustancia el Padre y el Hijo, homousios tou patrí. Atanasio lo confirma en su sentencia que "Dios se hizo humano para que el ser humano llegue a ser Dios". Vemos la importancia de la afirmación de esta completa humanidad en Jesucristo, que no resta a su divinidad, más bien la potencia. De la misma forma, su humanidad será aquella a la que espera llegar la persona humana, puesto que ha sido creada a la imagen y semejanza del Verbo (Gn 1, 26;2,7).
