The treatment of the question of univocity allows tangential observations about the problems of the knowability of God and the primary object of human understanding. Later, there is a debate on the status of being and of determinations in the framework of the theory of univocity, and the imputation that being can be identified with gender, or considered a mere being of reason. Subsequently, the position of an author who considers that Scoto pointed out, in "Very subtle questions", opinions about the univocity and the object of metaphysics, which differ from those contained in the Oxonian Commentary. The final paragraphs are a reflection on philosophy in relation to the natural state of man and its consequences for the way of considering metaphysics against theology, a prominent issue to understand the general meaning of Scotism. | ||
| 520 | |a El presente ensayo procede, en primer lugar, a un examen crítico de los argumentos a favor de la univocidad del ser presentes en la obra de Scoto Opus oxoniense, tomando en cuenta, especialmente, el análisis que de ellas hace Etienne Gilson en su libro Jean Duns Scot. El tratamiento de la cuestión de la univocidad permite observaciones tangenciales acerca de los problemas de la cognoscibilidad de Dios y el objeto primero del entendimiento humano. Más adelante se debate sobre el estatuto del ser y de las determinaciones en el marco de la teoría de la univocidad, y la imputación de que el ser pueda identificarse con el género, o considerarse un mero ser de razón. Posteriormente se refiere la posición de un autor que considera que Scoto deslizó, en “Cuestiones sutílísimas”, opiniones sobre la univocidad y el objeto de la metafísica, que discrepan de las contenidas en el Comentario Oxoniense. Los parágrafos finales son una reflexión sobre la filosofía en relación con el estado natural del hombre y sus consecuencias para la forma de considerar la metafísica frente a la teología, asunto prominente para entender el sentido general del escotismo. | ||
