Nevertheless, his work has proven to be hard to classify due to his particular methodology as well as his permanent dialog with other philosophical currents. The present study focuses on the relationship between Del Noce’s thought and Thomistic philosophy. It aims at shedding light on the metaphysical assumptions of the author, on the primary foundations of his approach to interpreting history and modernity in general. In doing so, we depart both from those who understand that Del Noce does not distance himself sufficiently from an idealist and immanentist framework as from those that question the soundness of his metaphysical foundations. We claim that the author under study adheres profoundly and consistently to the metaphysics of being and that it does so with explicit reference to Thomistic philosophy. We reconstruct his formation period, his philosophical relationship to Gilson and his idea of Christian philosophy to explore this issue. | ||
| 520 | |a Augusto Del Noce es un reconocido intérprete filosófico del siglo XX. Sin embargo, su método de filosofar a través de la historia y su diálogo con distintas corrientes del pensamiento han dificultado la tarea de los estudiosos a la hora de ubicar su filosofía. El estudio que aquí ofrecemos acerca de la relación del pensamiento de Del Noce con el tomismo es un aporte para comprender mejor cuáles son los supuestos metafísicos de este autor, cuál es el fundamento último de su propuesta de interpretación de la historia y de la modernidad en general. Frente a quienes entienden que Del Noce no toma suficiente distancia respecto del pensamiento idealista e inmanentista, y frente a quienes cuestionan la solidez de sus fundamentos metafísicos, sostenemos aquí que se trata de un autor que adhiere profunda y coherentemente a la metafísica del ser, y lo hace con referencias explícitas al tomismo. Para llegar a esta conclusión reconstruiremos su período de formación, su relación filosófica con el tomista Gilson y su idea de filosofía cristiana. | ||
