It was a quest to find what is more specific in man, his place in the universe. In doing so, many elements from the Judeo-Christian tradition were recovered. Nevertheless some limitations can be observed. According to the author, Thomas Aquinas’ thought offers some important concepts, which allow us to understand the human being’s complexity. Some of these concepts are: esse commune, the analogy of being, and participation. With them, it is possible to understand man’s corporal and spiritual unity, and other aspects of the human nature, such as the relation between reason and tendencies. | ||
| 520 | |a El autor señala cómo, en el inicio del siglo XX, la espiritualidad y la particularidad del ser humano han sido subrayadas nuevamente en oposición a las líneas positivas de esa época. Era una búsqueda de lo específico del hombre, su lugar en el cosmos, que de algún modo retomaba elementos de la tradición judeo-cristiana. Sin embargo, esta búsqueda no estaba exenta de limitaciones. Para el autor, es un desarrollo sobre la base del pensamiento de Tomás de Aquino el que permite una respuesta más cabal a los problemas que la complejidad antropológica del ser humano presenta. La noción de esse commune, la analogía del ser y concepto de participación son fundamentales. Ellos permiten concebir la compleja unidad corpóreoespiritual del hombre y los aspectos derivados, como es la articulación entre conocimiento y tendencias. | ||
