Throughout history fragmentary perspectives on this matter have been unable to link nature, life and spirit, on the one hand, and the spirit and the senses, on the other. More over, these connections are the basis for the relation among Anthropology, Ethics, Culture and Politics. The phrase “the lover seeks the beloved” introduces the metaphysical concept of love. Therefore, since the lover somehow becomes the beloved, life and spirit should be examined together. Finally, the quest for harmony between the spirit and the body finds its accomplishment in the phrase “love each other in body and soul”. | ||
| 520 | |a El reconocer, para Tomás de Aquino, que el hombre es un ser compuesto y complejo no alude sólo a la unión en la misma persona de un cuerpo y un espíritu, sino que todas y cada una de sus facultades, propiedades o atributos presentan estos dos polos. También, así, ha de abordarse la naturaleza del amor humano. Bajo todos los enfoques fragmentarios que el amor humano ha merecido en la historia del pensamiento, se ha frustrado por una parte, la conciliación entre naturaleza, vida y espíritu y, por otra, entre espíritu y sensibilidad. Además, estas conciliaciones ontológicas están a la base de cualquier alianza entre naturaleza, vida, espíritu y sensibilidad, que puedan promoverse a nivel antropológico, ético, socio-cultural o político. En “el amante busca a lo amado” se introduce la noción metafísica de amor. De ahí, se examina la conciliación entre espíritu y vida, porque “el amante se transforma en lo amado”. Por último, la búsqueda de la armonía entre espíritu y sensibilidad encuentra respuesta en que “amamos en cuerpo y alma”. | ||
