Rosmini takes part in the modern discussion about the nature and origin of our ideas. His solution offers a truly original variant of the central core of innatism, both ancient and modern, which bears many consequences for the rest of philosophy. The first part of the present study analyses the process in which Rosmini's thought achieved maturity and the definite expression of the theory. Secondly, the main features of this theory are outlined. Apart from its novelty, the interest of Rosmini's theory of knowledge lies in its capacity to relate the ancient with the modern by means of a sharp sense of criticism, and in its capacity to shed light upon many modern philosophical problems. | ||

Rosmini se inserta en la discusión moderna sobre la naturaleza y el origen de nuestras ideas y propone una solución que rescata el núcleo central del innatismo —tanto antiguo como moderno— pero del cual ofrece una variante verdaderamente original y de vastas consecuencias para el resto de la filosofía. En esta primera parte del trabajo se analiza el proceso de madurez del pensamiento rosminiano hasta lograr la definitiva expresión de la teoría. Se exponen luego las principales líneas de dicha teoría. La importancia de la filosofía rosminiana del conocimiento, además de su novedad, yace en la capacidad de unir lo antiguo con lo moderno mediante un agudo sentido crítico y en la capacidad de esclarecer muchos problemas filosóficos de la modernidad. | ||
