Sus creadores distinguen entre una actitud trascendental, una mentalidad que transformaría totalmente la vida y que sería el real aporte del cristianismo a la moral; y una formulación de preceptos, a que aquélla conduce y anima con su espíritu. Se trata -como bien notan los autores de este libro y como su mismo nombre lo indica- de un retorno al formalismo trascendental moral kantiano, en el cual la ley no tiene contenido, sino que informa y da vigencia a las máximas o normas. Por otra parte, esta nueva moral pretende hacer del hombre no sólo un ser histórico, sino un ser inmerso y diluido totalmente en el fluir de la historia, sin esencia humana propiamente tal y mucho menos inmutable. En rigor, no hay una naturaleza humana propiamente dicha, constituida por notas esenciales y Permanentes. Por eso, el hombre no es siempre y esencialmente el mismo sino que cambia y asume diversas formas a través de las circunstancias y situaciones del acontecer del tiempo y de la cultura. | ||
