Con el auge del fenómeno de la globalización, la delimitación de lo urbano y lo no urbano ha quedado difuminada y relativizada. Las relaciones entre la ciudad de la Modernidad y Posmodernidad y las religiones son mucho más complejas de lo que habían profetizado ciertos teóricos de la secularización que vaticinaban el progresivo declive y desaparición de las religiones en la ciudad secular.El retorno de lo sagrado en la ciudad postsecular es un hecho atestiguado por la mayoría de los estudios sociológicos, filosóficos, psicológicos y teológicos actuales. Desde que somos ciudadanos de la aldea global, la mayoría de las teologías de la ciudad o desde la ciudad tienden a identificar ciudad con globalización.La investigación que aquí se presenta ofrece una tipología de las teologías urbanas y evidencia, a partir del análisis de las bases de datos de las fuentes bibliográficas en las publicaciones de mayor impacto científico, cómo las mismas teologías de la ciudad reconocen –en sus conclusiones– que no es la ciudad sino son la secularización y el pluralismo sociocultural, propiciados por el desarrollo urbano, los lugares prioritarios en el quehacer teológico.Así las cosas, en este artículo se propone avanzar hacia una teología desde la ciudad globalizada, asumiendo las oportunidades del ciberespacio universal y evitando los riesgos de una globalización homogeneizadora. | ||
| 520 | |a The urban paradigm no longer constitutes the central or priority challenge for theological reflection and practice. It is not the decisive or fundamental challenge, as it was from 1960 until the emergence of cyberspace. With the rise of the phenomenon of globalization, the delimitation of the urban and non-urban has been blurred and relativized. The relations between the city of Modernity and Postmodernity and religions are much more complex than some secularization theorists had prophesied, who predicted the progressive decline and disappearance of religions in the secular city.The return of the sacred in the post-secular city is a fact attested to by most of today’s sociological, philosophical, psychological and theological studies. Since we are citizens of the global village, most theologies of the city or from the city, tend to identify city with globalization.The research presented here offers a typology of urban theologies and shows, from the analysis of the databases of the bibliographical sources in the publications of greater scientific impact, how the same theologies of the city recognize in their conclusions that it is not the city, but secularization and socio-cultural pluralism—propitiated by urban development—the priority places in theological work.This article proposes to advance towards a theology from the globalized city, assuming the opportunities of the universal cyberspace and avoiding the risks of a homogenizing globalization. | ||
