| 520 | |a Este artículo presenta una investigación interdisciplinaria centrada en el fenómeno de la violencia, partiendo de datos científicos recientes que interpreta desde la neuroética y desde una hermenéutica teológica que toma en cuenta la mediación filosófica. De esta manera, describe los múltiples rostros de la violencia, situado en el contexto de nuestra realidad latinoamericana y caribeña. La hipótesis de base consiste en que, si bien somos susceptibles a desarrollar una conducta violenta, tenemos la posibilidad de optar por otro camino no violento. Es claro que en la estructura psicológica humana coexisten aspectos intrínsecos y extrínsecos en una compleja interacción. Entre los primeros aparecen algunas condiciones con una base orgánica; entre las causas extrínsecas están las medioambientales y las relaciones socioculturales. Investigaciones científicas recientes muestran la existencia de una plasticidad epigenética y una neuronal que permiten al ser humano modificar sus patrones de conducta. Al tomar en cuenta que el cerebro es modificable, la neuroética propone una educación moral que integra lo orgánico, lo intelectual, lo afectivo y lo espiritual. Este proceso de educación moral invita a cultivar pensamientos, sentimientos y valores que vayan transformando las conductas personales y socioculturales encarnando el valor de la dignidad del otro. La teología judeo-cristiana contribuye mostrando que Dios aparece en las Escrituras como el gran educador que transforma el corazón para que las fuerzas violentas que pueden habitarlo se sublimen y conviertan en fuerzas de vida. Dios no destruye la violencia, inspira y llama en la libertad a un cambio de estilo de vida. Ante las concepciones religiosas de un Dios violento, el Dios encarnado supera la violencia que engendra violencia por medio de un amor vulnerable que, desde el cuerpo torturado de Jesús, víctima inocente de agresión, nos invita a amar como él ama, instaurando así un espacio creador de vida. | ||
| 520 | |a This article explores the phenomenon of violence through an interdisciplinary approach, analyzing scientific data from the perspectives of neuroethics and theological hermeneutics. The authors explain the various forms of violence present in the Latin American and Caribbean region. The underlying idea is that while we may have a tendency towards violent behavior, we also have the choice to pursue a non-violent alternative. It is clear that intrinsic and extrinsic aspects coexist in the human psychological structure in a complex interaction. Certain conditions that have an organic foundation may arise alongside other inherent ones. Among the extrinsic causes are environmental and socio-cultural relations. New scientific research has revealed that humans possess the ability to alter their behavior patterns through epigenetic and neural plasticity. Neuroethics suggests incorporating moral education that encompasses the organic, intellectual, affective, and spiritual aspects, considering that the brain is capable of modification. The process of moral education encourages the cultivation of thoughts, feelings, and values that can transform both personal and socio-cultural behaviors. This involves embodying the value of respecting the dignity of others. Judeo-Christian theology highlights how God is portrayed in the Scriptures as the ultimate educator who changes the human heart. This transformation helps to sublimate violent tendencies within individuals, turning them into life-giving forces. Instead of destroying violence, God inspires and encourages people to change their lifestyles and embrace freedom. Faced with religious conceptions of a violent divinity, the incarnate God overcomes violence through a vulnerable love exemplified by Jesus, an innocent victim of aggression. God invites us to love as He loves, thus establishing a life-creating space. | ||
