| Zusammenfassung: | In this article we would like to present, in the context of a christological dispute between manichaean Faustus and Augustine of Hippo, how Augustine came to describe the concept of miracle, together with that of nature, to affirm the way in which man must place himself before the power of God, which is not capricious, but manifestative of his being, which, in turn, corresponds to truth. In fact, God's power is revealed in the wisdom and beauty of the laws that govern the creaturely cosmos, before which man can only position himself and express himself in an approximate and almost always inadequate manner. Ultimately, man enjoys the capacity for believing wonder, which is born of the acceptance of the God who reveals Himself in the incarnate Word. En este artículo quisiéramos presentar, al hilo de una disputa de orden cristológico entre Fausto maniqueo y Agustín de Hipona, cómo el Hiponense llega describir el concepto de milagro, junto al de naturaleza, para afirmar la manera en que el hombre debe situarse ante el poder de Dios, que no es caprichoso, sino manifestativo de su ser que, a su vez, se corresponde con la verdad. De hecho, la potencia de Dios se revela en la sabiduría y la belleza de las leyes que rigen el cosmos creatural, ante las que el hombre solo puede posicionarse y expresarse de manera aproximada y casi siempre inadecuada. En definitiva, el hombre goza de la capacidad de admiración creyente, que nace de la aceptación del Dios que se revela en el Verbo encarnado. |
