Diferente de outras formas de perda, esse tipo de luto é atravessado por sentimentos ambíguos como culpa, vergonha, raiva e abandono, frequentementeintensificados por estigmas sociais e silenciamentos religiosos. Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir a posvenção como estratégia de cuidado integral aos sobreviventes -familiares, amigos e comunidades afetadas pela perda por suicídio -a partir de umarevisão narrativa de literatura, com ênfase na espiritualidade cristã como dimensão do cuidado. A discussão desenvolve-se em três momentos: inicialmente, apresentam-se as especificidades e os impactos do luto por suicídio; em seguida, discute-se a posvenção como prática ética e terapêutica de reconstrução de sentido; por fim, analisa-se o papel das comunidades de fé e do aconselhamento pastoral como espaços de acolhimento e esperança. O estudo evidencia que o cuidado integral aos sobreviventes exige a integração entre Psicologia, Teologia Pastoral e Saúde Pública, reconhecendo a espiritualidade como recurso essencial de reconstrução subjetiva e comunitária. | ||

Unlike other forms of loss, this type of grief is often permeated by ambiguous feelings — such as guilt, shame, anger, and abandonment — which are frequently intensified by social stigma and religious silence. This article offers a reflection on postvention as a strategy for comprehensive care for survivors — including family members, friends, and communities affected by suicide. Based on an interdisciplinary literature review that integrates knowledge from Psychology, Pastoral Theology, and Public Health, it argues that sensitive listening and attention to the spiritual dimensions of suffering are essential for ethical and effective support. Faith communities are highlighted as potential spaces for meaning reconstruction, provided they are prepared to welcome pain without moral judgment. Furthermore, the article emphasizes the importance of collaboration between mental health professionals and religious leaders in building support networks capable of fostering reconnection, dignity, and hope. In this context, postvention is understood as more than a therapeutic practice — it represents an ethical, social, and spiritual commitment to life. | ||
