Description
Summary:This article examines selected developments in stem cell-based interventions and stem cell-based research from an Orthodox Christian perspective. It addresses important points of connection between these advances and research involving human embryos, embryoids or stem cell-based models of embryos, and human-animal chimeras. This article highlights some of the most salient ethical questions these developments raise, particularly, although not exclusively, from an Orthodox Christian perspective, and examines some of the resources the Orthodox tradition offers for addressing them.
