The main contribution is in relation with the two beardless young men, one of them holding a palm in his hand, depicted in the embrasures of the window (with the dove of the Holy Spirit at the top), under the throne of the Lord depicted in the vault. Formal and iconographical analysis demonstrates that they can not be Cain and Abel, as had been suggested. Their likeness with the martyrs of the Lamb and with the blessed that, according to Revelation 7, stood before the throne of the Lord, as in other Romanesque murals, argues for this interpretation. | ||
| 520 | |a L'autora estudia de nou la iconografia de les pintures que decoraven l'absis d'aquesta església (avui al Museu Diocesà i Comarcal de Solsona) i a través dels vestigis conservats identifica les figures que formaven la cort celestial de Crist. L'aportació principal és en relació amb dos personatges imberbes, un d'ells amb una palma a la mà, representats als vessants de la finestra del centre de l'absis, al cim de la qual hi ha figurat el colom de l'Esperit Sant, sota mateix de la teofania de la volta. L'anàlisi iconogràfica i formal evidencia que no poden ser Caïm i Abel, com havia estat suggerit. I, en canvi, la seva semblança extraordinària amb els benaurats i els màrtirs que, segons Apocalipsi 7, s'estan drets davant del tron del Senyor i de l'Anyell, com en d'altres pintures romàniques, advoca per aquesta interpretació. | ||
