The data about the tombs are particularly interesting because, due to the demolition of the Romanesque cathedral, the most ancient preserved episcopal tombs are nowadays the Baroque urn of saint Bernat Calbó and the three tombs from the 18th century located in the same chapel. The epitaphs transcribed in the old episcopologies are an additional information source, previous to that offered by the epitaphs in the extant tombs. | ||
| 520 | |a Els necrologis i els obituaris de la catedral de Vic, així com altra documentació funerària, contenen informació no sols dels òbits dels bisbes d'aquesta seu durant les edats mitjana i moderna sinó també de les seves exèquies i sepultures. Les dades sobre les sepultures són especialment interessants perquè, a causa de l'enderroc de la catedral romànica, els sepulcres episcopals més antics de la catedral actual són l'urna barroca de sant Bernat Calbó i les tres tombes del segle XVIII que hi ha a la seva capella. Els epitafis transcrits en els vells episcopologis són una altra font d'informació, prèvia a la que ens ofereixen els epitafis dels sepulcres existents. | ||
