The importance of this liturgical affinity, unknown until now, involves in our oppinion the introduction ot the Franco- Roman rite in a cathedral in Castile-León nearly fifty years before the celebration of the Concile of Burgos (1080). This allows a more progressive and expanded-intime interpretation of the liturgical transition, with a preparatorial phase that has in the «catalan Palencia» an essential core, and receives the definitive impulse with the foundation of the Cluniac priories of San Isidro de Dueñas (1073) and San Zoilo de Carrión (1076), in the eve of the Burgos assembly. | ||
| 520 | |a El responsorial del Breviarium palentinum, imprès el 1565, manifesta una clara matriu narbonesa, fet que no pot trobar explicació sinó en l'acció de l'abat-bisbe Ponç de Tavèrnoles i la irrupció d'eclesiàstics catalans a l'Església de Palència, el 1034, data de la restauració del bisbat. La trascendència d'aquesta afinitat litúrgica, desconeguda fins ara, implica en la nostra opinió la introducció del ritu francoromà en una catedral de Castella i Lleó gairebé cinquanta anys abans de la celebració del Concili de Burgos (1080). Això permet fer una interpretació de la transició litúrgica més progressiva i dilatada en el temps, amb una fase preparatòria que té a la «Palència catalana» un nucli essencial, i que rep l'empenta decisiva amb la fundació dels priorats cluniacencs de San Isidro de Dueñas (1073) i San Zoilo de Carrión (1076), a les vigílies de l'assemblea de Burgos. | ||
