| 520 | |a Grundtvig and Jutland By Gustav Albeck.The treatise contains a survey of Grundtvig’s Jutland poetry, beginning with such poems as “ Anholts-Toget”, “ Morten Borup”, and “ Udby Have”, all of them from 181 1 , and paying attention in particular to the great poem “ Et Blad af Jyllands Rimkrønike”, which is characterized as a stage in the development of the poet as he moves from “ Roskilde Riim” to “ Nyaars-Morgen”.Grundtvig’s Jutland poems constitute an “enclave” within the poetry of his youth; but, as pointed out by the author, the national fight in North Slesvig from 1844 onwards was to give rise to more poetry with a Jutlandish theme and clear manifestations that he had not forgotten his earlier high valuation of Jutland and the Jutlanders. The familiarity which he acquired with the nature, language, and population of Jutland has left an indelible impression upon his personality and his work. | ||
