| Summary: | This work is a theoretical introduction to the concept of intertextuality. After informing about the authorship of the term, the article describes the role that Bakbtinian-Kristevian ideas played in the crisis of the first structuralism and, consequently, in the gestation of French post-structuralism. The revision that is made here on the contributions of Kristeva, Barthes and Genette proves that the theory of intertextuality was born in opposition and conflict with the immanentism typical of structuralist works, but without this entailing the recovery of the extrinsic approaches that this school he bad set out to fight. The work closes with a section that highlights the relevance of Genette’s contribution and offers some examples of how his concepts could be used in the field of Biblical studies. Este trabajo es una introduccién tedrica al concepto de intertextualidad. Tras informar sobre la autoria del término, se describe el papel que las ideas bajtinianas-kristevianas desempefiaron en la crisis del primer estructuralismo y, consiguientemente, en la gestacién del posestructuralismo francés. La revisión que aqui se hace de las aportaciones de Kristeva, Barthes y Genette prueba que la teorfa de la intertextualidad nació en oposición y conflicto con el inmanentismo propio de los trabajos estructuralistas, pero sin que eso conllevara la recuperación de los enfoques extrinsecos que esta escuela se habia propuesto combatir. El trabajo se cierra con un apartado que destaca la relevancia de la contribucion de Genette y ofrece algunos ejemplos de cémo podrian utilizarse sus conceptos en el Aambito de los estudios biblicos.
