I consider the ways in which music operates metaphysically and allows for the exploration of ontological dichotomy––the tensions caused by ultimate existential questions––through the “musico-philosophical” convergence of musical features and philosophical reflection in selected works of imaginative literature by Dostoevsky and Burgess. | ||
